Would this be ok to do while BFing?

I would love to do something like this Whole Living Challenge to kick-start healthier eating habits. Being so sick while pregnant, I really crashed and burned on my usually healthy habits and things haven't really changed much since DS was born.

I'm wondering if I should hold off until I'm done breastfeeding, which happens to be in a year if I can make it that long. I don't want my supply to change or to not get enough calories the first week.

  • I don't think elimnating the carbs, dairy, and protien would be a good idea at this point. The diet seems more like a cleanse and not so BF friendly. Even the 2nd week seems like it would be pretty tough. In their sample plans there is no way you would get enough calories for someone breast feeding.

    I guess I should have looked a little more in depth at it, I'll save it for next year.

  • I agree with PP, but if you're looking to eat clean that would be an awesome thing to do and you can absolutely get enough calories, just not on this particular plan
