H and I are thinking about getting a new mattress. Ours was a gift only two years ago from his parents. We picked it out and thought it was amazing in store, but now we seem to never have a good full nights sleep. I believe it's a Sealy Pillow top, but now we're looking more into a temper pedic or sleep number.
So.. What kind of mattress do you have and do you love/hate it?

I have no idea what brand ours is. Its a pillow top and its great.
We slept on a sleep number over 2 years ago in Tahoe while on a trip and it was awful. E still talks about how bad it was.
My parents have a temper pedic type mattress and they have always loved it.
We have a sleep number, which we like a lot. DH is always playing with his number. It nice because he likes a firmer mattress than I do. The only thing, is I wish I had gotten the thicker pillow top, but I think I can get a different topper if I wanted.
I like that you can take it completely all apart and clean it.

We did get one about a year ago and while it's helped a little we are still waking up in pain and tired.
I'm not sure what ours is.
We had an awesome mattress when we lived in Ohio, but we left it behind because it was a California King (with an amazing pillow top) and we didn't think we would have room for it when we PCSed. We didn't, but gosh I regret leaving it because it was amazing!
The one we down graded to is not as nice, and it took me several months to get used to it. We got a pillow top for it and its not bad now. But I still miss our old one : (

Funny you say this because we also slept on one in Tahoe a few years ago. I messed with the number settings all night for two nights. I never did find my magic number. It was awful. I much prefer our Serta pillow top matress.
I love pillow tops but if your mattress is too soft it will hurt your back. Temperpedic is AMAZING! My parents have a temperpedic mattress and H and I have temperpedic pillows. I hope to own one but I'm not willing to drop $8K in the near future.
So I love soft beds and H loves hard beds. Like...he is completely comfortable sleeping on the ground and is totally ok with the bed feeling rock hard like the ground. He's insane. We recently got a Simmons Beautyrest mattress and we BOTH love it!! It's a firm mattress with a pillow top! I feel like it's softy and cushy and H thinks it's firm. Over time, soft mattress get worn in and will hurt your back more and more. When our pillow top mashes down a little, the "firm" part of the mattress will insure that won't happen. Good luck!
