Hi, I usually post on the relationships board, but i have been going back and forth between a few brands of kitty litter, and wanted to get other people's opinions on the best ones. I have 2 male cats and their pee is a bit stinky, so I'm on a constant search for the best brand of kitty litter that masks the odor. I do clean their box twice a day, but I hate coming home from work to that smell. >:p
So far I've found that Sweat Scoop works pretty well. It clumps well and doesn't reek of the fake fragrance. Also Arm and Hammer's kitty litter is decent.
What brand of cat litter do you use?
On a side note, I recently bought these treats from Petco called "Stool Deoderizer Treats". lol, my cats both hate them. Oh well it was worth a try!!
Re: Kitty Litter Review
Have you tried Fresh Step? The DH and I can hardly smell the box.
Edit: Also, if you like Arm and Hammer, they have a powder that you can put into litter boxes to help neutralize the smell.
we use fresh step with no odor - box is in the basement, one female cat, scooped 1x day.
we tried a pine litter that the cat hated so we mixed it with the fresh step until it was gone - that stuff tracked every where and the bag lasted nearly a year mixing it in.
I use Arm and Hammer for multiple cats (even though we only have one!)
I wasn't a fan of "Fresh Step". It was great int he litter box, but if Rosco flung any litter out of the box it was a pain to vacuume. Heaven forbid it was "wet litter' her flung out, because it left nasty black stripes on the carpet I then had to clean out...
The best brand I have found is Dr. Elsey's. I buy it from my local pet supply store and it is seriously awesome. I used to be a staunch Fresh Step supporter, and then I ran out and had to try the Elsey's and was amazed at how well it worked. I'll never go back to anything else.
I see that you can buy it on Amazon.
We just bought these last week and both of our cats...including the one that eats anything...rejected these, too. lol I wonder if they would work if they actually ate them.

We use Arm & Hammer's Natural Corn Litter. I really like it!! The kitties do track it very easily, but it clumps very well (nice and solid!) and lasts forever. We used to use the Tidy Cats for Multiple Cats. It's what I "knew," so I'd used it forever, and then started looking at other options, because I just wasn't happy enough with it's odor control and clump-ability. The Corn Litter is far superior!
We had to start combining some Cat Attract litter (also a Dr. Elsey brand) into one of the boxes, because one of our cats started pooping outside the box after we brought our puppy home. It worked like a charm to get her back into the box!
