I'm kind of freaked out - my cat just started howling like he was in pain then pretty much projectile vomited very very water brown all over the floor. There was a LOT of it, and there was something like a hairball (it really looked like a cat turn, actually) in it.
Do I need to call the vet NOW? Should I wait and see if he does it again before calling? Has anyone experienced this?
I'm really worried about him. He seems OK, just like he doesn't feel good.
Thanks!

Is your vet open on Sunday or would you have to go to the e-vet?
How is your cat's appetite? Is your cat drinking? How about pooping and peeing? What time was the last meal, or do you free-feed?
Sometimes cat actually do vomit feces and this could be a serious problem, like a blockage. If you do go into the vet, I would take whatever the solid object is that the vat vomited. Can you see fur in it?
They aren't actually open today, but I may give them a ring in the morning. He seems fine right now - sleeping. He's got a fine appetite, drinking lots of water. I think he's using the litter box regularly - I'll keep my eye on him to make sure. I already tossed the thing he threw up, but maybe I can find it in the garbage. My DH got a better look at it than I did, so I'll see if he thinks it was hair.
Thank you!
