We did it!!! (EDIT with PIP)
That cabinet that was so large which I was talking about a week ago. We got it placed and it's absolutely perfect! I LOVE it.
Can't PIP right now as it's dark outside so I can't take a decent picture (don't feel like grabbing the good camera and the flash - I'm TI-RED!)
So PIP will follow tomorrow, for now I'm just happy though!!!!

I think we should now replace the electric piano with a real one in the same color wood

I found it on the Dutch version of Ebay. It was a store on the other side of the country, about an hour and 15 minutes away. They delived for only 25 euros!
We drove out there last weekend to see for ourselves, as you never know for sure when you see a picture, and it looked awesome, just HUGE. It's really really solid, no screws and stuff, just really well built. It was specifically built for a flower shop and made to fit there. It was REALLY affordable (as in price of a cheaper end IKEA cabinet), probably because no-one dared to buy it because it probably wouldn't fit.
We figured we'd take the chance, and I'm SUPER glad we did!

Almost every furnished rental we looked at had one! Was that a coincidence or do the dutch really love pianos?

That looks awesome! And I?m so jealous that you could get a real wood cabinet for that price. Drool. Nothing made of wood is cheap in Germany, ebay or other place. Le sigh.
PS: I totally dig that wallpaper! I?d never be brave enough to do the black, but it looks so cool.

Regarding the wallpaper, the previous owners actually put that up. I probably wouldn't have dared myself either (or gotten DH to agee) but we (especially me) really liked the way it looked, so we didn't replace it. Plus it gave me the confidence to go with a bold pattern/color once it should be re-done.
Regarding the cabinet and getting it to fit. First took a jig saw to the bottom, removed 7 cm there, sanded it all down, then used a dremel tool on the backside a little so it would be able to fit over the baseboard and go flush against the wall.
After that I picked up my brother, who helped DH tilt it upright (with the 7 cm off the bottom we had about 1 cm to spare once it was diagonal, so we did clear the ceiling (lots of planning, measuring and math went into this.)
Once it was upright we moved it to the spot where we wanted it, after which they lifted it again, straight up this time, so I could shove a 44x50 mm beam with pieces of felt on the bottom under both sides of the cabinet. That lifted it up to the height we have now. I then used a table saw to take about 1.5 cm off the bottom of the trim, before we replaced it.
So all in all it's 15mm lower than when we bought it and now has 'removable feet'.
The reason it was so affordable is because no one in their right mind would buy it because there's no way you could bring it into a standard Dutch house. The ceilings would be too low. They just couldn't sell it, until crazy me came along
(In all honesty, if it had been more expensive, I wouldn't have dared!)
