Random selling question - Polar Bear skin rug
I know this is a reach, but would any of you ladies have recs on where/who to talk to about a polar bear skin rug? We are in the process of finishing our basement, thus doing some major purging and we need to get rid of this. My husband inherited one from an old boss, it's original certificate is from 1978 I believe (I need to pull that out for actual details). I'm not even sure on the legalities of selling it or who to even contact. To be honest, I'm not even sure that it's in good condition, but it's definitely not something I want to just toss out at spring clean-up, you know?
Hoping that maybe some of the husbands are hunters and could give us a starting point

if you don't really care to sell it, you could check with locak Elk's lodges, and see if they'll take it. There was a sheet posted at work about the Elk's lodge taking deer skins, because elderly people do something with them. I'm not sure, I'll see if I can find out anything, too.
If you are thinking of donating, you could try contacting the Des Moines North High School. Their mascot is a polar bear and they could probably use it in the library or something. I know they have a stuffed polar bear that stands in their lobby that was donated years ago.
