Is it wrong for me to go on this interview?

I just got called for an interview next week...I'll be 32 weeks pregnant. It's a teaching position...an I'll only rake 6 weeks off after the baby, so I'll pretty much work for 7 weeks, take 6 off, and then 6 or so until the end of the year. I know odds of them hiring me over someone else are slim, my main concern is that they'll see me a's wasting their time even going in for the interview in the first place. My main reason for going is to interview and get my foot in the door in case something opens in September and maybe they think of me for it.

Re: Is it wrong for me to go on this interview?

  • go - and make a great impression. i would guess you need to be upfront and talk about your plans while away and how those lessons would be covered and prepared well in advance. everything needs a spin on an interview - good luck!
  • I'd go and like the pp said, really work hard to sell yourself and make them confident that you'll be a good fit. Have plans in place for how your lessons will be covered, etc. Good luck!
  • go! It's good experience for you anyway...the more interviews you go on the easier they get.
  • Having to cover 6 weeks is nothing if they can get someone in there permanently in the long run. Good luck!
