Anyone go on vacation without their LO?
Thinking of a weekend trip for our anniversary but not sure if I can leave LO for a whole weekend. Maybe we'll bring her. I know I'll have to decide myself just looking for others experiences if they did. TIA
Re: Anyone go on vacation without their LO?
Right before our wedding, we went on a "pre-honeymoon" since we were actually bringing him on our real honeymoon. We went to Mexico for 4 nights 5 days - he was a year and 3 months at the time. I honestly missed him more than anything when i would see other families with kids in the pool, but at the same time, I knew that if he was there, we wouldn't have been able to let loose, drink as much as we did, hop in a cab whenever we wanted to, etc etc etc. I'm glad we left him home, looking back.

Every September we go to Wildwood for the firemen's convention. First time we left our 3 year old to go he was 6 weeks old. Since then, we've gone to Aruba for 8 days ( oldest 1yr), Vegas (boys 3 & 1), and we do 2-3 trips to AC for overnights.
We have family very willing to watch kids and we re firm believers in needing time to ourselves. It's healthy for our relationship and healthy for boys to see us focusing on our marriage and not just them all the time.
