Tooth Fairy Prices

Madison has her first loose tooth, and I'm trying to figure out what the going rate is for the tooth fairy.  I had thought about $5 for the first tooth and a silver dollar for each additional tooth.  Everyone I've said this to thinks I'm insane - that it's way too much.  I know kids compare these things, and I don't want her to go to school and wonder why the tooth fairy doesn't bring her as much money as other kids.

So what is the going rate for the tooth fairy?

Re: Tooth Fairy Prices

  • We do four quarters per tooth. We haven't had any issues with the kids price-matching. :)

  • I gave each boy $5 for the first tooth and $1 for the second tooth..that's as far as we've gotten..just two teeth each so far, but plan on doing $1/tooth.
