Suggestions for a grieving child?

DH has a terminally ill grandmother.  She's doing great, however.  In all of our visits over the past few months, my preschooler has grown very fond of her.  I think we still have some time, but just want to be prepared to console him when the time comes.  Please offer any suggestions you may have, particularly books, my kiddo responds well to things like that.  Thanks.

I got a book when my grandfather died from a friend called The Fall of Freddie the Leaf. It explains death as a natural thing that happens, like leaves falling from trees and the changing of the seasons. I learned about those kinds of books, actually a genre called Bibliotherapy books, in a children's lit class I took for grad school. Interesting stuff. There are probably newer titles out there, but the Freddie one has nice pictures and is kid-friendly to a preschooler or gradeschooler.
