So I have an appt later for DD so I of course will ask (and since we haven't seen the doc yet I am not even positive she has it - I only see one blister), but does anyone know how long you are contagious once the blisters appear?
Thanks!
Re: hand-foot-mouth disease
not sure what it is. She hasn't had any vaxs in a few months (going in two weeks for her 2 yr check up tho). She was complaining last night that her foot hurt but I didn't think much of it. Then this morning she was playing with her feet again and I looked and saw one blister on one foot. Mouth (she opened for me to look) and hands were clear.
Guess we'll see what the doc says. I hope it won't interfere with her birthday this weekend! : /
it's not a summer disease. grace got it in the dead of winter.
it lasts about 3 days. i think my daycare wanted her out 5 days (including the weekend)
Evan had this earlier this month! He got it on a Monday and he didnt go back to daycare until the following Monday. The doctor said he'd be ready to go back Thursday but he wasn't ready. Daycare said not to bring him back until the blisters were no longer open.
It sucks! Hope she feels better soon!
