lasagna: cooked or raw before freezing?

I'd like to prepare and freeze some lasagna for the evenings I wouldn't feel like cooking. I checked online and found out that some people like to cook them before freezing, while others prepare them raw then freeze them. Which method do you follow?

Re: lasagna: cooked or raw before freezing?

  • I prefer cooked. Once cooked and cooled, I slice them up and then individually wrap them and freeze them. That way I can grab a few pieces and let them thaw in the fridge during the day while @ work. All I have to do is  microwave them.

  • Kind of a mixture of both.  I cook the meat(I use ground turkey.) I cook it in the sauce.  I also cook the noodles than make it by putting the rest of the ingredients layered together than I freeze it.  Hope that makes sense.

I do it this way too, but I use small 9x9 pyrex and do like 6 at a time then freeze them.  Come home from work, throw in the oven and dinner is on the table within an hour...
