AW: if we aren't FB friends
You may remember we lost our sweet girl Logan at the end of October. She was just 8 and died after a sudden and severe diagnosis that destroyed her immune system. DH and I decided that no matter how much time passes we will miss her every day. She was our first baby and the best pup ever! We also know our family is meant to have a dog and didn't want to wait too long. So....meet Maceo! He joined our family Saturday evening. He is a lab/retriever/great dane mix from the Boulder Valley Humane Society. He is 3 1/2 mos old. (At last check, 2 of his siblings were still up for adoption!).
My beautiful girls: Hadley 9.28.06, Emmerson 11.29.08 and Pilar 2.07.11, born premature at 33.3 weeks.

Aw, adorable!
Out of curiousity, what was Logan's diagnosis? Harley (4.5 year old BC/Aussie/Lab) has been very sick and we have him on Prednisone to suppress his immune system right now because it was attacking his own cells. He's aged several years in the past couple of weeks and we're getting scared that the vets are pretending to know what's wrong and that he's not getting the treatment he needs (we've had 2 second opinions but no confirmed test results as cytology has been inconclusive and they see nothing on x-rays/MRI's). Anyway, you said immune system which caught my attention.
