Poll: Choose my vanity please

Which do the Nesties like better for our full bath redo?  (Install bid this week for tub/shower/floor/etc.)

This is for the main bathroom, which in our house is also the only full bath and will be used by the boys.  Both are 48" wide.  We probably won't be switching this out for years, but are not planning on moving - maybe ever.

Vanity 1: (Home Depot).  It's only $360, and has matching mirror & cabinets as well.  I wouldn't do white though... still working on the top color.  It seems like it would be easier to keep clean for some reason.

Vanity 2: (Lowe's)  It's $397 on sale this week (from $437).  I like it because it looks more like real furniture.

I'm thinking of maybe darker stone tiles on the floor, and some 6x6" neutral colored tiles in shower.

Re: Poll: Choose my vanity please

  • I love the first one. I think the second one is much more traditional and the first is modern, so it just depends on your style. They're both very nice. :)

  • I definitely like the first one better, but that's just a matter of taste and style.  It depends on the style you are going for.  If you are looking for something more traditional/rustic/classic, the second one is better suited.
  • I like the first one.  The 2nd already looks dated to me.

With that many kids, any way you can do double sinks?

  • another vote for #1 :)
no identifiable siggy pictures anymore, thanks a lot stupid nest!

This was my first thought.  The first one is much more modern looking, but I guess it depends on your overall decor.

Ditto - I like #1 better.  But it doesn't seem too modern, just more updated.

Are you united with the CCOKCs?

  • I like #1 but agree that 2 sinks would be awesome.
  • I like number #1 the best, it's more my style.

Random question: How do you go about cleaning under these "furniture" style vanities? We're going to remodel eventually too.

  • Thanks ladies.  #1 was what I have down, but I started second guessing last night.

Oh, and we decided not to do 2 sinks since we have a half bath downstairs for the boys as well.  They hate sharing bathroom time anyway.

#1 and this.  Are you sure you want a cabinet that allows things to get under it?

  • I don't think it'd be too bad.  I'll have to wipe underneath it while mopping, for sure.

  • #1 for sure, simple, clean lines, not too modern. Beautiful :)
