Has anyone ever had one? What were your symptoms (sp?)?

Google works wonders for stuff like this. Also, for spell check.

  • I had them. I thought I was having a heart attack the very first time. My arms tingle/go numb, my heart pounds, it's hard to breathe.

  • I've had them - my heart starts racing, I breathe heavily (even wheezing), and I either start to shake or sweat.

    Not fun.

    Pretty much this exactly.

  • What everyone else says. You truly feel like you are having a heart attack.

  • I felt the chest tightening along with warmth through out the body, the need or what to thrash out to anyone or everyone, and a massive headache afterwards. Warmth started at the base of my skull and radiated to my temples and jaw line and front lobe of head. Thank god I took Advil before I went to bed last night when I was able to calm down.

  • That doesn't sound lilke a panic attack, IMO.

My dr. told me if I ever get a panic attack and don't have my meds, Benadryl works well to calm down too

  • I've never had the warmth thing. Tight chest, yes. As well as the tingling in my arms and legs, also my lips go numb from it. I also panic so much that my irregluar breathing makes the room spin as if I am going to pass out. Maybe call your doc just to be sure. GL
