I have said this to you before... Sometimes support means telling someone the sh*t they do not want to hear b/c it has to be said. You have issues that you need to settle on your own.
I am took time away from dating after my split and I am taking time again... WHY? Because it turns out I was not ready. I can (and did) find a nice supportive guy, but in the end the relationship did not work out because I needed to work through somethings on my own. I have no problem attracting quality men. Honestly, that is one of the reasons I feel totally fine taking a break from dating. I do not feel the need for a man right now and I know I could have one if I desired.
You act like breaking up with this guy would mean you will be alone forever and that is a problem. Also, you are NOT happy with him. All of your post point to the fact that you are not happy at all with where your life is now.
I hope you get the help you need. I genuinely wish you good luck.
ETA: PS- My parents have helped me out a lot, not finacially, but by helping me care for my child. This does not mean in any way that I did not struggle. I venture to guess that there are a lot of women (probably myself included) that come from circumstances that would make yours look like a walk in the park, BUT this is not a pissing contest. It comes down to the fact that you are not dealing with your problems in a healthy manner.
