Re: **smange**
hi! and happy birthday.
thanks for checking in. DH is doing really well! He came home from the hospital on Friday and has been improving each day. He's been spending most of his time on the couch (I finally set up Netflix today). I think he's totally sick of the liquid diet - applesauce, pudding, pureed soups, smoothies...that's about it. If anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears!! I keep joking that I feel like I have a toddler in the house - an entire drawer in my fridge is applesauce, pudding, and mashables (fruit).
He's able to get around the house by himself - slowly, and only for short periods of time. But he's moving. The physical therapist came by today said that he didn't really need her and to keep moving as he is. I know this probably sounds silly, but I can' tell a difference with his range of motion and the swelling (his speech) everyday. It's really amazing the progress he's made.
Like I've said before - we have a long road ahead, but he's such a trooper. I don't think anything will be as difficult as those first few days in the hospital. Oh, and we have our (re: he has) his frist follow up appointment tomorrow at the doctor, so we'll be able to get the technical opinion on how he's improving.
