So crazy lady may not be quite as crazy...
I emailed my friend, who is a doula and a person I respect (and know not to be nuts), about our obsession over this wacky girl. Turns out that in terms of her pre-labor exercises and her birth plan, there are actual reality based reasons for her choices. I wouldn't choose to go this route, but there are many green women who do.
Now, her going home outfit, her "selfies" and her thinking stress will give the baby "the gay", all outer space wacko ***, lol. It's sad that this is the face of natural birthing.

I think she is a loon based on her overall thinking. Catch the gay just really pissed me off. Idiot.
You are right - she has been tainted by the wacko stuff - so when she talks about real stuff it is seen as wacko as well.
It's great to live in a time and place where we have choices. A co-worker's daughter is giving birth at a birthing center. They will use the center and be home within 6 hours of giving birth. A nusre will visit them the next day to check on the new mom and baby. WOW! Not my thing - but it's their choice.
Yeah, catch the gay seriously pisses me off.
It's the whole gay husband thing that gets me. Sorry.
Tara, you're hysterical.
Agreed! The birth plan to me wasn't all that nutso. I found it funny that *that* was the post that got her recognized all over the nest. I've been reading her BSC nonsense for months, and that birth plan was really tame, for her.
I don't think that's necessarily true - we talked about it here before the birth plan was posted.

You're right, Lauren. We did talk about it before her birth plan was posted. I posted how crazy I thought her baby preparation regimen was. Then I talked to my friend about it and learned it wasn't as crazy as I thought. But people thought her birth plan was crazy, too. And I think her general "extra-ness" colors all her other choices.
Plus its not like she has to spend money on a photographer.
Or clothes or makeup. She can just photoshop it all.
Really though I like to think she is really a 500lb woman that has 50 cats and sits on her couch Photoshopping pictures and making up stories for a blog.

I'm pretty sure they're in real estate... enjoy: http://andrewollick.com/realestateblog/
