I have to go to New Orleans for business end of April. Which happens to be during Jazz Fest. Darn. So ILs are flying in to watch the kids and DH is coming with me. We are tacking on a few days to my business trip to see if there are some concerts we want to catch and for me to see the city (DH has been). Any recommendations for sights, tours, etc.? What is a "must see" for those of you who have been? TIA!

Re: New Orleans Recs
Well, were there for a wedding, so we had a lot of things planned out for us (dinner at Commander's Palace, night on the town in the French Quarter, etc..) But I felt very "New Orleans" having beignets at Cafe Du Monde and just watching all the people go by, and it was fun having a hurricane at Pat O'Briens, just to say I had done it.
The Alibi is a great place to grab a burger and a beer in a relaxed bar atmosphere that is a little less crazy.
I confess that we didn't really go outside of the mile radius from the JW Marriot except on limo buses and we weren't paying attention to the outside world at all on those things, just wooping it up in the bus, so I am no good for anything other than a few bars.

If you can swing it, Commander's Palace was the best dinner I've ever had in my entire life. Absolutely amazing.
We did a ghost tour that was a lot of fun. I don't remember which company it was through but I'm sure there are a lot of them.
WWII Museum was also really neat.
