Does anyone have one & what are the pros/cons? Where thinking about getting a teacup...we've wanted on for so long.
Re: Pig?
I've heard that pigs make awesome pets (no experience myself, they are considered livestock, and not permitted in my city), however, teacup pigs are the result of breeding runts to runts -- they are usually not healthy.
Nothing sounds appealing with the name "teacup" in front of it.
But I have always liked the idea of rescuing a pig. Our local shelter has some now and then, but they are usually transferred out to a farm sanctuary.
Pigs are freaking adorable. And very smart.
Ditto that "teacups" are likely not a good way to go. However, "regular" pigs can grow very large, so be sure you have a way to accomodate your pet.
I don't have any experience owning a pig, but good luck!
