J's big boss is here for a couple of weeks from I think Taiwan. I feel like we should invite him to dinner or something. However, we don't have a dining table yet...just a breakfast counter and two stools. I'm not really up for buying a set just for this and it's an expense we could do without for a minute.
Would it be better to invite him out to a restaurant for supper? Do we invite him to our house anyways? Do I suck it up and buy a set? Or am I crazy for wanting to do something like this for the boss? Can I add that this is J's big boss...just in case that changes things.
Re: WWYD re: DH's boss
I think it would be completely acceptable to take him out to a nice local restaurant, rather than having to have him over for dinner.
Though how close is he to his boss? How often does he come to the U.S.? How many people are above him in command between him and the big boss? Just trying to make sure it is not totally weird to invite him out.
I agree, take him out. These are good questions though.
