Have you ever noticed the best day to buy plane tickets is on a tuesday? At about 2 this afternoon a ticket I was watching was $481. Tonight at 8 down to $223. It was the same last week too.

Re: Ticket Prices
Yep! It's usually cheaper to buy in the middle of the week, so that's when I always book, after stalking for a few weeks (I
Kayak). It's also cheaper to fly on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We're saving a few hundred dollars by flying to and from Europe on Tuesdays.
Yes I have definitely noticed that! Anytime I'm booking airfare I know far enough in advance that I watch for a few weeks and Tuesdays are when they always drop.
Also, if the fare ever drops below what you book it for, most airlines will give you a credit for the fare difference. I did this with airtran for a wedding recently and was able to use the credit toward my pet. Others who were flying with us used it for their luggage or to upgrade their seat.
