Clarisonic Mia

Okay, it was a while ago but during the pre-holiday rush one of you lovely ladies recommended the Clarisonic Mia (I don't remember in what context).

I would like to thank you for basically changing my life, for the better.  I had no idea this thing existed but I asked for it for Christmas and it is amazing!  Sorry I don't remember which one of you it was... maybe uw?  Or emy?  Or jennlin?

(Or I could just list off every other Nestie on here... :) )

Re: Clarisonic Mia

  • lol, could have been me, obsessed with mine :)

I'm so glad you like it!!

  • I have a the knockoff and love it!

  • Honestly, as dumb as this sounds - the first time I used it I felt my skin after and was like, 'Uhhh... this is totally different.'

Now I will no longer fall asleep in my make-up.  I was so bad before but the whole brush thing is actually kind of fun and addicting!

One q: do you two use it once a day, or twice a day?  I'm concerned it might be overkill for my skin if I go twice a day, so I'm only doing once a day now and thinking about ratcheting it up in a few weeks once I've adjusted to it (I just got it last week since I was dragging my feet on having our Christmas gifts shipped to me)...

  • I use it twice a day, but I have bizarro skin.
  • I try for once a day but do not always get to it - it seems rough for 2 x a day

  • Yay! So glad you like it. I would run back in to my burning house to save mine. I know it sounds silly, but I really feel the clarisonic has changed my life.

Ive been using mine for almost 2 years now and I've found that once in the morning for 2 minutes is enough for my skin. Sometimes if my skin is really oily (during he summer) I'll do it twice a day, but that's only if my skin feels really oily.

Make sure you remember to change the brush every 3 months or so.

  • what is this thing?? i hear about it all the time.. some sort of exfoliating something or other?

i think i need it. where do i buy it?

Essentially, it's a sonicare toothbrush for your face. It exfoliates your skin and makes it really smooth. It's really helped keep my cystic acne under control too. I do get the occasional zit still, but it's not a cycstic one and it's usually pretty small and goes away really fast.

Like I said in the earlier post, I only use it in the AM.  I take off my make up before bed, but it's still amazingly gross how much the brush pulls out of my pores in the morning.

I've gotten my dad hooked on the clarisonic too. And really, I'm not just saying this, but his skin looks fantastic now. Before it just looked kind of dull and rough and now his skin is glowing and smooth.

You can get it at Nordstrom or at www.aspenleafspa.com I ordered the one for my dad at apenleaf and the shipping was fast and there was no tax. They do coupons that you can use on it from time to time too. I think I got my dad's for around $90.
