Soup recipe.....crock pot or stove top
I am making chicken in the oven for someone else, so that means no dishes that have to be baked. I also have to finish up the sides I prepped last night within the hour I am delivering the meal, so I'd like something for us I can put together this morning and not really tend to until 6:00. Non soup ideas are fine, too. Just no shredded chicken in the crockpot of every style. I think I've done those recipes a million times this month.

I keep trying to copy links and they keep disappearing, grr!
I love making soups. The Pioneer Woman's sherried tomato soup is great. Epicurious.com has a good sausage and white bean cassoulet (not really a soup, more stew-y). Dave Lieberman has a really good black bean soup on Food Network's site. And I really like a lentil stew with ham and greens that I pulled from MyRecipes.com.
Sorry for the lack of links but they're all easy enough to find via a quick Google.
Our veggie soup you can cut all the veggies in advance and then it only requires a little attention.
Basically you put broth, chopped carrots and a can of tomatoes (we like petite cut) with the juice in a both. Add a little garlic if you are so inclined. Bring to boil and them cover and let it simmer 30 minutes.
Then add chopped zucchini, cabbage (I cheat and buy bagged coleslaw mix), green beans and some pasta (ruse whatever you have on hand). Cover and simmer about 15 minutes or until the pasta is tender.
Voila. Soup.
