Hi All,
My pooch is going in for acl surgery on Friday. Would it be too much to add on dental while he's already out for the surgery? I'm completely freaked out about him having surgery in the first place, and I don't want him to have to recover from a million things at once. As it is, we will be bringing him home the same day as the surgery..... which normally, they stay over night. But, Max has seizures, and I wasn't a fan of the thought of him being at the vets office overnight alone. I was actually shocked to hear no one was there with the animals overnight. So we got special permission to take him that day, if he comes out of surgery ok. I am sure I am freaking out irrationally over everything with his surgery... but my Max is my boy, and I just want to make sure he is going to be ok. TIA for any info, encouragement, anything!
Re: Too Much During Surgery?
If it's just a cleaning, there's not really much of anything to recover from, so I'd say go for it. It's not like he's getting any teeth extracted.
And no flames. My cats have never had dentals, and Zoey won't ever unless something happens and it needs to be done. They're not cheap, they involve anesthesia, and they're generally elective; so why put an animal through it if you don't have to?
