Remember my four-car pileup accident last year?
The accident was in March 2011. Over the summer, I fought in traffic court and won the battle over having the $50 ticket rescinded. What I didn't realize at the time was that fighting the insurance rate/points increase was a whole separate process.
It took the state about nine months to schedule my insurance hearing, which I just had a few weeks ago. On Monday, I finally got the judgment--and I won!
I was the last car in the pileup and, as you know, you're normally presumed at fault for rear-end accidents. I am pretty damn proud of myself for winning the argument that it wasn't my fault and now I don't have to pay higher rates for the next 7+ years.
Woohoo!
