My husband and I aren't HUGE V-day people (we'll do dinner or whatever). He knew I needed a bag, and I was just going to get one from coach since my friend works there and gets 50% off. Well, last night, he went to UPS at 8 pm to get something and came home smiling and was so excited to give it to me...he had the kids help me open it.
It was a GUCCI bag. I can only imagine how much he spent on it, and I"m SO not a label type person. Part of me wants to tell him to return it, but he was honestly SO excited to give it to me!! I feel like I didn't give him the "excitement" he was looking for, and I really feel bad! It was cute that he was really into giving it to me. I am just going to keep it because well, I need a bag, and...he transferred all the stuff from my old one to the new one last night, and told me to try it on!
I'm such a bytch!!!!
Re: I feel so ungrateful! Re: Valentine's Day Gift
i love that your dh will buy you a bag. my dh would be like a farmer in a tiffany store trying to do something like that.
he obviously WANTED to do it and he's super excited.
i say keep it. your worth it darling!
(i am also one that it goes against my being to give gifts or return gifts but i am freak show like that)
This thing is like a suitcase too! I think I can fit Carys in it!! I like it, it's pretty - I just feel like it's SO expensive (i think?) and we are by no means rich and could definitely use the money elsewhere. but in the same breath, I KNOW he wanted to do it for me, and I don't have the heart to rain on his parade. so....I will wear it, with a smile. now I gotta like, do my hair, or make myself look presentable or something, if I'm going to wear something so presitgious!! haha
omg, that's pretty cute. marty would NEVER do that for me. the farthest out on a limb he goes for me is the sweaters he got me for christmas. he has gotten me a bag in the past but it's only one that i picked up, showed him, said "i would like this bag for christmas" and then gave him a coupon for the bag. lol.
enjoy it.
next week tell him " you know, at first i wasn't sure if i'd like the gucci thing since i'm used to carrying coach but i LOVE this bag!" that'll make him feel better
here...let me get this out of the way...
you ungrateful biatch, how could you possibly complain about your husband buying you gucci!
haha...there does that feel better!
enjoy it...he obviously wanted to surprise you, and i bet once you get over the shock, you'll really like it!!!
I think that's exactly what it is - shock. If you knew me IRL, you'd know that I sometimes use shoprite plastic bags as purses haha - I am really not a trendy person, or stylish by any means. but maybe he wants me to be?! haha I bet i'm boring him so he wants to spruce me up a little bit!!
I'm definitely going to keep it - I couldn't 'let him down' after seeing how excited he was. I'll get used to it (easily) since it's a REALLY nice bag!! I just can't believe he spent that much on little old me!!
you wouldn't want to return diamonds would you? just sayin
your shoprite bag carrying days are over......the man is dressin his lady pretty woman style (minus the hooker thing and all)
I'll only use the bag if he wears his pink pants at the same time.
cracking up at the shoprite bag!
I'm totally with you on not being a huge trendy name brand person either. but take the purse. it was an awesome thought by the family! I'd hate the thought if my h spent a lot of money on something like that for me but its his excitement and throughtfulness would mean the world to me. Things like that don't come daily in my life but when they do....i embrace it! ...Now can we get a pic of the bag! ha ha ha!
(p.s today is beautiful day out to be rockin such a great bag! )
i bet the shoprite bag would TOTALLy compliment the pink pants.....and they aren't pink they are salmon, remember!
and bags that you can carry your kid in hold various uses. you shut up or im putting you in this bag, damn it
haha, I can completely relate. My "style" is whatever is comfy, pony tail and my dd plays with my makeup more than I wear it.
My boss gave me a Coach wristlet for Christmas and I really like it. My normal purse is always filled up with receipts and junk so I decided to use this everyday so I would stop hording paper.
I often stop and laugh at myself walking around with this expensive item with no money in it, pulling out the few things in it to get to the change to pay for milk all while holding my breath hoping I have enough.
this is hysterical because I can totally relate! that's why I use credit card for EVERYTHING, i'm the worst with cash!
Can we get a picture of this bag?
Inquiring minds want to oogle
I just posted it under "jessNdean - picture of the bag for you"
I think that's really sweet and just enjoy...is it big enough to be a diaper bag when the baby gets here? Can you use a Gucci bag as a diaper bag?
BTW, it was super sweet that he transferred the stuff from your old bag to the new one...I hate doing that.
