What do you consider a good thread count for sheets? I need to replace our sheet set, and I can't remember what the thread count is. Mr. Spiderman is convinced they're 1000 count, but I'm pretty sure we didn't win the lottery so I doubt we paid that much for sheets.

Re: Sheet thread count
Our favorite sheets are fleece so that probably doesn't help. Usually I need to feel them, I've felt some pretty soft 400 TC and some scratchy 600 TC, but usually the higher the TC the better.

If you change your mind about the sealskin sheets, I bet Jens could help you out.
I agree with Mod though that the thread count doesn't really matter. We've had really high thread count ones that were crap, and my sheets right now are our favorite ever, and they're 230 count. You can get 1000 thread count sheets for like $60 so you very well could have them.

We love a higher thread count but have fallen victim to sateen "cotton" ones...they don't last as long and we sweat more in them...
I have no clue what the thread count is but "Cuddledown" are the best sheets I have ever slept on.
well, pure linen IS better,(well ironed) is best but the maid quit and I can't iron
