I am going to make a couple of these scarves, you've probably seen the idea on Pinterest or on here. I know someone posted theirs on here a week ago or so.

One is for my friends b-day. She's into movies big time, loves Bruce Willis, Billy Bob Thornton. I need help thinking of a suitable quote or something for the text on hers. She wouldn't like something too cheesy... I'd say her style is kind of eclectic, or "indie".
The other is for my stepmom. She just lost her 12 y.o. niece so something really comforting for her would be ideal. I want it to be a nice little something to give her when she gets back from the services out of state. Something spiritual/biblical would be ok for her, but anything uplifting is good.
Any ideas?! Crunched for time! TIA!!!
Re: Help: Need quotes, lyrics, etc. for DIY scarf!
I love this Billy Bob Thornton Quote:
I believe in running through the rain and crashing into the person you love and having your lips bleed on each other.
Billy Bob Thornton
But I'm not all that sure if that fits eclectic or indie
For your stepmother:
"Let us be grateful to people who make us happy, they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom." -- MARCEL PROUST
"Far away there in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and follow where they lead."
-- LOUISA MAY ALCOTT
emjacobs - thanks, you are a quote guru! you hit both nails on the head.
anybody else reading, would still love more suggestions to choose from!
That would be me, and I thank you for all of the kind words in my post (I just saw it). I have been to every Marshall's in a 30 mile radius, buying all of the white/ivory scarfs I can find!
Here's a favorite Bruce Willis quote (Fifth Element)..."Now, don't get me wrong, I'm all for conversation, but maybe you could just shut up for a moment?"
Another (12 Monkeys)..."Oh, wouldn't it be great if I WAS crazy? Then the world would be okay."
L'isle Sur la Sorgue, Provence
I decided to go with the very first BBT quote (I believe in...) and made this yesterday. Mine turned out a lot more "sketchy" or kind of a dry brushed look. I think I like. My friend loved it and actually knew the quote so thanks for the idea!
Still contemplating the second one for Stepmom though. If I do something else for her, I will make one for myself!
