i had my first nest vs irl experience

belle's party is coming up. and she wants a tinkerbell party. so i was thinking of favors and want to do wands and butterfly wings for the girls. for the boys i got pirate hats but needed something else. i saw these swords and was like hmmmm thats cool, than i went wait no thats a no no. swords the moms will hate me. so i emailed the moms of the boys to ask (just to be safe) and all where like nope, totally fine. the nest is starting to make me batty

Re: i had my first nest vs irl experience

  • how about eye patches?
  • i have an aversion to eye patches lol and two of the kids wear glasses and eye patches and having had glasses as a kid eye patches are no fun
  • YOu've been on this long and this is the first time? lol.  That's pretty good.  I have 2 boys and they love swords! I prefer if they were soft though
  • i have had a few where i MENTALLY think oh no thats not going to work. bu this is the first time i've ever reached out to other moms.

I am trying for soft. Thats ny plan

  • i heard the nesties in my head last night when i called my mom to ask her to please stop buying my kid juice and chips and deli sandwiches every week when she watches my kids.  i was all 'what would the nesties say if they heard me get mad over juice' then i defended myself with 'but one serving is 130 calories, more than a serving of soda" then i was "but my mom watches my kids for free" but then i was all "but they're MY kids."  it was awful.  damn you Nest!

  • I'm not doing goody bags for Stephanie's party since the custom Angry Bird cookies I am ordering for her are expensive enough! THAT is her favor/goody bag handout!

And yeah some of the stuff I do/ways I raise my kids would make the Nesties cringe. Stick out tongue
