I think i will go get another opinion from this facility as well.
I'm thinking about going to either Morristown or Englewood.
Who was your Dr? I know I would have to pick 1 of them & they would be my main Dr so I have no idea how to start with that...

Re: RMA girls
I've been out of there for over a year now, but, the doctors I would recommend are Drews, Scott, Bergh, Gulati, and Morris.
Here's the thing - you are going to get recommendations on here for some doctors that some women loved and that others of us absolutely despised! I think the names you'll hear most consistently positive, however, are Drews and Scott.

Are those from Morristown?
Also, for those who went, did you do a single plan or shared risk plan (if oop)
Both our tries were single plan, not the shared risk. Inquire about studies, and SAIF board has an OOP Meds check in where people donate their unused meds and you pay shipping, as that is a few thousand in itself....
I had such an AMAZING experience with Dr. Kim the first time in Englewood, that this time around I followed him to the West Orange location for my initial consult and testing. I know some here did not like him, but I preferred him over the others. I also really liked Dr. Constanini (SP?) who did alot of my monitoring this time around as well as Dr. Molinaro...who is very good looking lol.......Dr. Burgh is very to the point, and very very good. You are in good hands with whoever you see there! Ditto Kittycat196 about the nurses.....you have to be on top of your game and know whats going on and not solely rely on them...they do make mistakes every once in a while.....best of luck to you
Thanks guys! I really appreciate it.
Will the drs help you decide if they think you only need single vs shared plan? I'm torn on what to do.
Sorry for all the questions lately re IVF. I hope to be done with this part of my life soon & onto a new chapter asking pregnancy/baby questions
Dr. Morris was my main doctor, out of Englewood. I saw Dr. Constantini a lot for morning monitoring in Englewood and Dr. Bergh did both my retrieval and transfer. My nurse was Joyce. The one thing I didn't like with her was that it seemed like a lot of other ladies were able to email their nurses, but Joyce and I only corresponded over the phone. Otherwise, she was always very quick to get back to me.
I wasn't OOP, so I can't answer any of that. I think I may still have some unexpired meds, depending on when you cycle. My cycle was November.

There is now some sort of form you have to fill out requesting your directions/questions etc either by phone or email. If you choose phone, they will not email you back re: any questions ... its one or the other.....but yes, agreed. both options are quick in terms of a reply....
Interesting. I don't remember a form. We originally started with them in November 2010 but took a break for a few months in between and IUI and the IVF.

I think that shared risk is an acceptable thing to talk about with your doctor. They cannot give you any guarantees, obviously, but, based on your past experiences (success of stimming, for example) they can probably give you some information to help you get a feeling for how successful you might be. Again, it is just a feeling, but, for example, in my case, I was 36 and we knew I didn't have a lot of eggs. It wasn't out of the question for us to think it wouldn't work for us on the first shot and, had we qualified for shared risk, it might have made sense for us.
As for the email/phone thing, I remember that being an issue all of the years I was there (2006-2010). Even though I always said I was comfortable communicating via email (and, frankly, would have preferred that), I never had a nurse who communicated that way. They were all more comfortable on the phone (I had 5 different nurses in my time there).

yep. And Dr. Gulati was awesome too.
Dr. Drews is my savior...seriously.

It's been a few years since I have been there but we saw Dr. Bergh. Like Lisa mentioned, he is to the point and direct. I know some people do not like that, but I liked him a lot and so did my husband. I saw him at the Morristown office.
All communication with my nurse was via phone. I vaguely remember a form where I could choose either or but I preferred phone. I usually had questions for her.
Good luck!
