What is a good inexpensive convertible car seat?

Not a britax since we'll get one of those for our car when she gets bigger.  For now we just need one that we can face backwards and is safe but it doesn't have to be fancy.  She spends all of 10 minutes a day in the car she will be in and we never use it on the weekends.

  • I posted last week about a Safety First seat that was on sale at Costco for $47.99, but my mom went yesterday to get it for me & she said there weren't that many left. This was the bridgewater location.

  • Cosco Scenera is good option that is really inexpensive.  We have it for my mom's vehicle.

  • The cosco scenera 40RF is a great seat. Tall enough shell to RF a long time, 40 lb RF weight limit, and it's like $40-50.
