WWYD?

So we are supposed to move tomorrow. The movers are lined up to arrive between 8-9 am and its supposed to snow what like 6-12 inches tonight. We live in a condo and the walk from our door to a truck is probably a good half a block. I'm paying these movers by the hour so I'm thinking with snow on the ground and it still snowing they are going to move slow....and my daycare provider informed me she plans to close tomorrow if there is a lot of snow whether DPS is closed or not - which is her usual policy which ticked me off so that means moving with DD around.

Or do I reschedule for Saturday afternoon once the snow has stopped and the sidewalks are cleared off and it's easier to drive around town. And my mom if the traveling is easy can come down from FoCo and help with DD.

WWYD?

Re: WWYD?

  • I'd probably reschedule.  They just might cancel on you anyway and you don't want to be waiting around for them in the morning and they say they can't make it.

  • I would try to reschedule if at all possible (that said, we'd probably end up with 2 inches if you do.)

This. Even a few inches is sure going to make things messy - all that snow in and out of your condo and the house.  It would suck. And it sounds like your DCP is just itching to pull the trigger on a snow day, so she may overreact even if it isn't really "Snow day worthy."

  • It's a hassle, but I would try to reschedule.  Good luck!
no identifiable siggy pictures anymore, thanks a lot stupid nest!
  • Reschedule.  I would do anything to avoid moving in snow with a small child.  Not as safe for you guys either.

  • ditto -- reschedule.  It'll take forever to drive to the new place too so I'd wait until clearer.

  • Not to mention that you'll need to spend a lot of extra time cleaning...both the new place and the old place.

  • I would reschedule.  Not only will it take them longer but I'd feel obligated to give those guys double the tips I normally would.
  • I'm with everyone else- Reschedule! Wait for your mom to help and the snow to be cleared. Moving is stressful enough without adding snow and a little one to it.
