I've been looking at houses on Redfin. I'm LOVING some of the ones I've been finding! I was trying to get DH to look with me, but he doesn't want to look until we know we can actually buy a house. Party popper! I just want him to window shop with me!

I looove house porn. I look at redfin every day even though we already bought. Technically, we're looking for a home for my parents cause they've been wanting to move to the area for the last 2 years or so.
Where are you looking? What are your specs? Min bedrooms? Min bathrooms?
I don't think southern colonial really exists up here, partly cause southern colonial is generally brick-based (or clapboard sometimes) and there aren't a whole lot of brick homes here. The most southern-esque homes I've seen tend to be in the 1+ million dollar range and I've seen a lot of them in the Highlands on redfin (the clapboard style with columns).
The predominant architecture structure up here for homes seems to be craftsman, the very occasional French tudor, pseudo/new-age craftsman, and contemporary/modern.
Are you from the south? I can't quite remember.

I use to love looking at houses online. Buying two and selling one, back to back within 18 months made me hate house hunting.
I hope you can get DH on board to look with you though! It's more fun that way.
Holy crap. Why did you buy two in such a short period?
Ugh. We had just bought a condo when DH was promoted and told he was moving to Seattle. I never even got to cook in the custom kitchen my dad built. We sold the condo, moved to Seattle and bought our current house in Ballard.
Ooh! Cool. What part of Ballard? Ballard Ballard? Loyal Heights? Crown Hill? XD We live in Ballard near the cute little train shop and the new Montessori school (plzscarystalkersdonotstalkme).
Ballard Ballard
We're on a side street off of 24th near QFC.
I've actually never been! I hear rave reviews. We were just talking about how we need to make an effort to go to more places on 24th. Usually we get sucked into eating down on Ballard Ave.

This.
I love their ham and cheese croissants. So good and most of their pastries are good (if super buttery but it's French, c'est la vie~). Tall Grass is usually at the Farmer's market, but they have good bread and are right next door. ^^
