This is why I'm pissed off
It makes me furious that we have an indoor only kitten die by getting smashed by a cat tree when there are idiots in the Bengal post below who allow their cats indoor/outdoor and idiots who are buying from BYBs and then fly the dogs in cargo.
Life is seriously unfair.

Unfortunately, you're right. I was taking two of the tame bridge cats in today so they could be fixed/adopted out, and here I am, stressing about their blood tests coming back okay, worrying about FeLV and FIV, and in waltzes this guy with a gorgeous boxer/something mix. "We're surrendering her because our yard isn't big enough and she runs into my kid". WTF, dude. Did your yard suddenly shrink? If not, you KNEW how big it was when you got the damn dog. And train her. Jesus H. Christ.
It makes me want to punch people.
I'm still really sorry about the kitty.
Snow!

Amen. I can't find it in me to even respond to those types of posters anymore, but I admire how hard you work to educate in a diplomatic way.
And I know it's unfair to judge, but with as hard as my husband and I work to manage our pets' special needs (all three have ongoing medical and/or emotional issues), I sometimes just resent the f**k out of people who feed Old Roy, never go to the vet and have perfectly healthy, happy pets that live to be, like, 100. KWIM? It just seems so unfair.
Oh and ::hugs:: kellbell. I'm still so sorry for your loss.

Totally agree. I took fantastic care of my KittyCat and he dies of cancer at age 11, when I made him promise to live until at least 20. That pisses me off.
Oh and I also just don't get people. My little bro and SIL literally lost a cat last year (it's probably dead by now because the last neighborhood sighting showed and infection), and they STILL let their other two cats out! One was a stray and doesn't even like to go out - she knows the good life is inside! And they looked at me like I am the weird one when I answered No, the new kittens are not going outside. WTF people. WTF.
