Okay one more potty question... re. standing

If your son stands to pee, what do you do when you are out to make him tall enough? I don't really have anything for him to stand on and he's short.

Stupid question I know, but I'm serious.

Re: Okay one more potty question... re. standing

  • I either send him with my husband to the urinal, or I pick him up,a nd hold him almost horizontal to the toilet and pray he aims well :)

  • At home he was tall enough, but when we are out I try to find a handicapped stall, the toilets are usually a bit lower. If not, I'd just lift him under his armpits. Only had to do that a few times though.

  • I take plastic solo cups and have him pee in a cup. Plus that way he touches nothing...

Lol. That is definitely out of the box thinking. May have to consider that one.

  • Sounds silly but its a lifesaver in public bathrooms, parks, and on long drives...

  • He stand ON the toilet and I hold him still.  I always put a potty liner down first.

i've never done it in a public bathroom (though it IS a good idea now that I think about it) we do always have an empty bottle or two in the car - if we're on the highway, he just pees in there.  lifesaver!
