Even when he/she was still eating well, did he/she get very thin?
Seamus just seems so thin to me. He's always been chubby, and he's lost some weight in the past 6 months (since he developed diabetes...the change in diet did help him lose weight, to a healthier weight). In the past 4 weeks, since his cancer diagnosis, he just seem so thin. Maybe it's my imagination, since he's always been chunky and I am not used to it. But it's making me very nervous. He is still eating very well. He still begs for food and gets excited for his meals. His energy level is good...not great, he sleeps a lot, but he's fairly active.
I'm getting really scared that the end is near. I know he is going to die, but I guess I am just not prepared for this.
Re: If you've had a dog with cancer....
Unfortunately, yes. My first dog was not overweight but at a good size. Within a month of his diagnosis, he was almost bones.
I'm sorry

I think this is a great sign that he is doing well!
I have to agree.
I didn't really notice a weight change maybe a bit towards the end and it was because he wasn't eating or throwing up after eating.
