Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

You might be able to just use the little picture button if you're not using Chrome -- it looks like a tree, right next to the smiley face. Use tinypic or something to upload your picture.
I'm on Iphoto my mac now instead Picassa. I upload the photo's from that to Flicker. Flicker has a get code button,copy. Then on The Nest I hit HTML button and paste.
Picassa was a nightmare for me to use. It was fine for my H but he is a tech nerd........and well I learned to type in high school.
