How long do u let a 3yo CIO???

I've always had a good sleeper so this is something new to me. She has been sleeping for the past 2 woks without  me. Tonight she wouldn't even lay down in bed so I left. My H went in there for a little and left. She has been crying for 20 mins.

  • That should say she hasn't slept alone and if she has, she has woken up at 3am wanting me.

  • RP went through this stage at 3 and it lasted liked a year, which sucked. I'd usually let him cry (he'd go on and off) for like a half hour, then go in, then he'd be quiet, the he'd cry... Eventually he went to sleep and stayed asleep until like 2 or 3, at which point he'd get up and come into our room and get in our bed. If I woke up I'd put I'm back in bed and he'd be okay, but I usually slept through it and I'd wake up at 4 or 5, at which point I left him in our bed. I figured it was my penance for having a great infant sleeper, lol. I will say, after the first month or so he'd very rarely cry but would always come into our room.It just was... Not good, lol.
