Another potty training question

How did you approach potty training with your girls? I did my version of the three day process with Graham and it worked. He was 30 months so more mature. Caroline wants to sit on the potty when I change her and the times she actually pees is starting to increase. Tonight she went in the bathroom and was trying to take off her pants while she was pooping. I am inclined to just go with this until she gets more predictable, helping her go when she wants but not pushing it. Thoughts?

Re: Another potty training question

  • Your approach is exactly how we did it with Sophia and actually at almost exactly the same age as C is now.  She decided she was interested so we went with it.  I was never pushy with it and just allowed her to go when she wanted to.  One big thing that helped her to "get" when she had to go was to let her run around outside in our yard in just a dress with no undies on.  Then it was very obvious to her when she had to go.  Obviously you'll have to wait until its warmer for this (or risk your floors).
