I don't want to work, I just want to bang on the drum all day randoms
What's everyone doing this weekend?
I'm cleaning. Woo hoo.
Re: I don't want to work, I just want to bang on the drum all day randoms
Writing my appellate brief draft, outlining for my property [or as we lovingly call it, properteh, a la Eric Cartman] midterm, making flashcards for properteh, reading for Monday classes and trying to celebrate L's birthday, too.
Status update on the brief: I have two paragraphs done (only 10 more pages to go!), which according to GRSP is over 40% of the work. I think that math doesn't work on legal writing unfortunately.
Peach green tea is delicious.
Good morning everyone. My husband didn't want to go to work today either. For those of you who work hopefully you get the weekend off so you just have to make it through today - better than it being Monday.
I'll probably be doing some cleaning and more unpacking as we still get settled in our house. We also get to go dishwasher and microwave shopping! Not my idea of a fun weekend but our current ones need replacing.
We will probably have the Super Bowl on but we are Packer fans so we don't have much interest in the game this time around.
Hope everyone has a happy Friday and a relaxing weekend.
Morning and TGIF.
Weekend plans include: trying not to get called on in class, but to no avail, going to do intakes at the senior living place, making a budget, and celebrating FIL's bday on Sunday. Nothing fancy. Poor man has to work Sunday.
13 weeks until I bid my job adieu. I don't know if I'm more excited about this or graduation. Tough call. Both have given me hell for too long.
Thirteen weeks will go by so quickly! Graduation and the last day of work will be here before you know it.
You can do it!
I think you will love it! Think of all the delicious coffees!!!
your daughter makes me smile every time I see her. Don't give me the baby fever yet lil Renee face. I'm not readyyyyyyyyyy!
You're new to the area, right? How are you settling in? Are you liking Grand Rapids so far?
Sorry, I just realized that sounded a bit like an interrogation. Let me rephrase...
As I recall, you're new to the area. I hope you're settling in well and that you like Grand Rapids!
Haha. It didn't sound like interrogation. Yes I am new to the area. We are liking it here so far. I grew up just outside the Milwaukee area and this seems a lot like "home". Everyone that we've met so far has been so nice. Thanks for asking!
Laundry and dishes need to get done this weekend.
H and I are going out for a little bit on Saturday night to celebrate a few friends' 30th birthdays.
We have no plans for Sunday yet.
Good morning, everyone!
Henry turns 2 on Sunday!! We are having his birthday on Saturday so as not to interrupt any Super Bowl party plans. Really looking forward to it!!
HannahsMom- Welcome to Grand Rapids! I lived in Milwaukee for about 5 years. I really enjoyed my time there and am itching to go back for a visit.
Wop - Enjoy your Keurig. We have had one for about 2 months and I really like the convenience.
We are not big sports fans in this house so we won't be doing anything Super Bowl related.
A little big of laundry is on the weekend radar. SS has stayed after school 3x this week to get help with school work. It would be great if he keeps this up. He keeps wanting Driver's Ed and we keep reminding him that he just needs passing grades in all his classes.
My Mom has surgery in about 2 weeks for her knee. She fell and tore the cartilage and has been in pain even since. The pain is intensified by her Fibomyalgia too.
DH got news that a client if moving offices and is to be on standby to help them relocate and get back up and running. Their ETA of move is the same time we were planning to leave for NJ. It is looking more likely that I'll be road tripping by myself. Kind of excited and a wee bit nervous too.
I was wondering how you were doing. I meant to comment on your question of a panic attack the other day . . . that sounded a lot like how I get if I have a drop in blood sugar. Back when I was skinny I used to get that frequently. Not sure why but now that I'm fat I don't seem to have as much fluctuation in that department. LOL.
Same here. Talked to doctor it was a full fledge panic attack. There is a lot going on right now - stress wise - money, taxes, marital, etc. So this is something that is supposed to help with the anxiety meds and give it an ommph for a while. So I am ready to see how it works. It's something I'll only take for a few months - not permnanently.
I had the same thought when I looked at my clock a little while ago and saw that it was only 10:30.
Hoping things work out . . . all around. I've been on a few anxiety meds roller coasters and it's not fun.
Seems like this day is dragging on. Blah. I know I want to do nothing tonight but I need to do laundry.
Happy 12:07.
I have class tonight and tomorrow. I am not prepared. I have a horrible attitude about work for this class. I was looking forward to class w/ a different prof, but got an email last night saying that the original prof would be with us because the conference she was going to had been cancelled. Bah.
AW:
H surprised me by "decorating" my car with candy, chocolates and flowers this morning. I found it when I went out to my car at lunch. Awww.
When I called him to say thank you, he told me that this wasn't for Valentine's Day, it was "just because". He knew I was starting to get overwhelmed with everything going on and wanted to brighten up my day. Well, mission accomplished, H.
Ugh. How long is the class tonight? You have this same one tomorrow?
