what kind of salad do you serve (main dish)

So I decided to do ham n cheese sandwiches for the kids (that i am going to cut out into star shapes with a cookie cutter) brownies and fruit. But for the mom and I was thinking a salad since its superbowl sunday and we will both be eating a TON of stuff later.

I have never really served salad as a main dish what would you put in it

One of my favorites to make is to bread and bake boneless chicken breasts, slice them, and serve them over salad with a homemade vinaigrette, tomatoes, olives, and blue cheese. Maybe some breadsticks on the side.

also, caesar salad is another popular main course salad option.

I've been doing a lot of chicken caesar salads lately.  I use breaded chicken cutlets and toss them with just romaine lettuce & dressing. Oh and sprinkle with extra parmesan!

ken's not a huge salad eater as a main entree so i don't neccessarily need meatless so he'll probally fend for himself (and he'll be watching soccer with his brother)

I have a spinach salad recipe with egg and bacon that is delish and I've served that as a main dish for a lunch.
