This is my thought too. Yes, it's an adjustment, and yes, it IS more amazing than one can imagine, but man, she has NO idea.

You guys are right. I guess I take back my snark, though I STILL think she ain't seen nothin' yet, lol.
BUT - I never discussed my nipples, sore or not, with anyone, let alone the entire world, so I gotta say I judge a little for that.

Sometimes I read the judgements made about other people here and think "Am I really that odd?" I mean I can't be the only person at 3 days PP that thought "I'll never sleep again and dear god, why the F are my boobs on fire?"

Oh, I'm totally judging her, lol...but that's what she wants, No? Since she's posting her entire life in a blog and then advertising it on FB??
And my comment was coming more from the fact that she has/had all these grand plans of how wonderful and perfect and amazing motherhood is going to be and she's already facing the fact that she's reallyfuckingtired and her nipples feel like a rabid dog has been chewing on them. The best laid plans.....

and seriously its one thing to complain/talk/vent brag to your friends or on a message board but another to have a FB page that you will let ANYONE like. thats just WIERD to me.

again, I haven't read anything - just saw the pic of her in "the dress" here - but yeah, she can put it out there that she has sore nips, because the assumption is that the people reading her blog and FB page are actually interested in what she says. if not, why bother reading it?
I'm totally neutral with this chick but the fact is, she's got a right to say what she wants, and if you don't like it, or think it's crude, don't read it.
the attention she's getting here (as well as a ton of other forums, I'm sure) is exactly what she wants...she's a very successful AW!

Often I google for something and this board is the top search result.
she is going to photoshop her life the same way she photoshops her photos, bright, shiny and totally enhanced to show only her best assets.
To each his own. I find the posts about her amusing- if it weren't for all the hoopla I don't think I'd find her nearly as amusing, but what interests me is how one woman can spark so much interest in so many people. The politics board and the MM boards, two very level headed boards (where I lurk... I need a life... but that's a different post all together haha) are both obsessed with her. I just can't believe one relatively uninformed woman can cause so many people to care. And yet... I've been reading for months, so I'm certainly no better!
Also, she's going to get a big fat check from this past week lol. I can assure you I've never had as many people go to my blog in a week as she's getting a day now, she's probably making a pretty large penny off this.

Of course the nest is public. But again, a message board is a response-based forum. FB is different in my opinion. Maybe I'm wrong or crazy or a prude or whatever, but if I needed a place to discuss my sore nipples, it sure as hell wouldn't be on FB.

You know at first I did a snicker and an eye roll but really? That Facebook post could have been posted here. The first few days you're home everything seems so enormous, even certain people here who have been moms for months or years - it's all, I'm sore, I'm tired, why won't this kid sleep, my boobs hurt, my incision hurts,I don't make enough milk,I make too much milk, why won't my kid talk, why won't my kid wipe his own butt, I hate my job, I hate this relative, blah blah blah.
So,I give her a pass. Just once.
