Re: any coool ideas for teh 100th day of school???

  • One cool thing, is the kids wore 100 pins on a sweatshirt. The kids had a blast counting them all and they were cool to look at.
  • Laura's clas asked that we send in 100 of something for the kids to count.  We sent in 100 m&ms.

  • I need an idea too - she has to bring in 100 of something to share  :-(  EVERYONE will be doing M&Ms or lollipops or Goldfish, I'm afraid.  UGH!!

An idea you're welcome to use...last year (there was no sharing involved!) my daughter used the inside of a copy paper box as a "frame" and made a mosaic using 100 jellybeans, then wrote out a "key" counting "18 Green Jellybeans, 30 Blue Jellybeans, etc and totaled them to show 100.  She got an A+ and the teacher raved about the creativity!

  • Here are some ideas of things my class brought in last year.

pennies, stickers, photographs in a collage, rubber bands, paper clips, popsicle sticks, legos, toothpicks, straws, soda can tops or bottlecaps, pencils, crayons, magnets, marbles,

As an activity, I like to have my kids make 100th day trail mix.  They count out (in groups of 10) 100 pieces of food to put in their bag.  I use things like marshmallows, pretzels, cereal, m and ms etc.

  • We have to bring in 100of something. Cheerios and cotton balls are other suggestions. Or fruit loops. We always do 100stickers on construction paper in a "100". I have a thousand stickers so this gets rid of a bunch every yr!
  • Mia's class is doing hats. We have to put 100 of something (can be all the same thing or multiple things as long as it = 100) on a hat. Mia wants to do diamonds so I'm hoping we can find something that will hold 100 of them glue gunned on it! Kind of a difficult task....
