if you have an iPad/tablet- is a keyboard worth it?

I have points I can cash in. Should I just get a cover or a cover with a keyboard? What do you think?

i don't need it. i like to be able to lay on the couch and ty pe. i wish i had swype but fo me i don't miss it

I've considered getting one - my typing is horrific on my iPad; as an editor it drives me nuts to see type-os!

I have one and I really don't think I need the keyboard case I bought.  I usually prefer typing right on the screen.

thanks everyone. I think I'll wait to see how I do with just the iPad. The cost of a keyboard doesn't equal the points cash-in now that I think about it.

I've tried 'typing' on other tablets and struggled with it, but we'll see how I do with the iPad.

I hated typing on here at first; it gets much easier. But there is usually at least one error in everything I send/post if I don't proofread first, lol.

I'm in the minority, but I really like the keyboard. But, then, I sometimes "work" from my iPad and it's just easier to sit there with a keyboard instead of trying to use the virtual keyboard. But, for every day web-surfing, it's not necessary.
