daycare recs please? west side or downtown

We are looking for a daycare center. Preferably near Hampden and Santa fe, but We are also looking in west south/west Arvada, Wheat ridge, Golden, Lakewood, The highlands, and Cap Hill/5 points area.

There are so many centers out there it is overwhelming.

DS has been at Colonnade at 13th and Speer in the federal building since he was an infant. They just moved into their new remarked digs, so the classrooms are really nice, on top of great staff. We drive in from Lakewood, and like having him close to work instead of home, we don't have to worry as much about traffic delays to pick him up. PM me if you want more info.

Evan started at Open Air Academy a week ago Monday - so far so good. It's Reggio Emilia, so similar to Montessori in some ways but more collaborative between parents, teachers and kids. So there's more of a community feel (we think).

We were also on the waitlist at Montessori on the Mall (a Bright Horizons center), but we liked the community feel at Open Air better, and it's more convenient for pick-up and drop-off because there's no messing with parking near the Mall.

Gavin started at Kindercare near Kipling and Kentucky when he was an infant. We liked them but they were really pricey for an infant and we knew we wouldn't be able to afford having both him and an infant there once I got pregnant again.

Both of our boys now go to Jacob Academy. It's on Flower St near the intersection of Mississippi and Garrison. We're really happy with them but I don't know if they have any availability. Google them and you can see their website.

DS was at one of them until January. I know people with kids at each of the others and they all have good reviews.

Yep. DS was at Llittle Friends from 11 weeks until just a few weeks ago when we moved. The space in his room might even still be available...not sure, though. I know people with kids in all the other centers I posted. They all have good reviews among people I know. I'm not sure what you're looking for in terms of price level, structure / approach, size, etc., but these ones are all good options in the neighborhood.

Little friends is down the street from my MIL's so she could possibly help us us with pick ups! Thanks, I will look into it.

We are VERY happy with the Child Enrichment Vented at Calvary Temple - but it is at University and Alameda, so it might be out of your target area. But I cant say enough good things about it to completely show how much I love having Coop there.
