I really wish the nest would let me change my pics without creating a new name. The one of McKayla in my siggy she was only 7 months old and she does not have her "mane" and she does not have that long underhair like she does now. I swear they are so alike. The only difference is her ears lay flat ... I love it when she lays down and her ears are "up". Oh and she makes some of the best faces too.

What breed(s) is McKayla? We think Sable is a shepherd/chow mix.

Sable looks almost exactly like that dog--even the body movements are the same. Crazy.

So we really don't know either. I have also looked up the Belgian as well when you mentioned it once before. Your Sable is the first dog I have ever seen that looks like her. Until a few years ago we had a new neighbor move in and I was outside on the front porch yelling down the street "hey new neighbor can you tell me about your dog" He thought I was nuts until about a month later when his wife finally saw her and called him outside and then he knew I was not a crazy lady. She weighs about 55- 60 lbs. Does yours have godzilla paws too.... hers are unbelievable. If she comes barreling down the hallway at you and steps on your bare foot she breaks bones. I have so many bruises because she does not know her own strength. Some days I will have bruises on my leg and you can see where the 3 individual "toes" are.
Sable does have huge paws! It's like being stepped on by a freaking T-Rex. Insane.
I've met one dog who looked a lot like her, but she was a miniature version. She was some kind of chow mix. Sable it about 70 lbs, and this other dog was only about 40.
I have had a couple people stop me when I've been out walking her and ask what mix she is because she looks "just like a dog I used to have". I always ask what their dogs were, and it's always part chow. Some say theirs were mixed with German Shepherd, some say lab, but to me, Sable has no lab in her at all.

When I watched the first one I seriously thought, "WTH is that person doing with my dog?" The resemblance is crazy!
So it sounds like Sable and McKayla could be twins. lol
