AW: my Huz!

I am just so proud and excited that I can't keep it to myself! My Huz tested for a special unit at the PD and got one of the coveted slots =). He has wanted this and prepared for this for so long and I couldn't be more happy for him! This is a huge stepping stone for his career, and puts him on the path that he has wanted to be on since he was a little kid.
Anyway, I just had to brag about him a little. Thanks for letting me. =)

Who is someone you are proud of lately? I want to read about the amazing people you all love and support too! SO's, BFF's, siblings, kids, pets, yourself- anyone, let's hear it!

Re: AW: my Huz!

  • Congrats to him! I hope that will allow you to do the things you want to do, as well. My brother recently got a promotion at his job so I'm proud of him for that. He works in computer QA (stuff I don't understand at all). He's only in his mid 20's and he's now in management in this very specialized field. ETA: He's the really tall dude in the middle of my right side siggy photo.
  • My dh just got a notice that he's receiving a special award at his school. There's a recognition ceremony in about two weeks that I'm invited to. I'm so proud of him, even though he's acting all modest. It's rare that a teacher that has been teaching as few years as him (7 years, I think) gets it.
  • PS. Congrats to your hubby, Mrs. Moosie!
  • Thanks guys!

H- That is so awesome that your brother is advancing in his career so quickly!

And M, I'm really glad your Hubby is getting the recognition he deserves! It makes me happy when teachers get props for everything they have to put up with.

Those guys are lucky to have such awesome ladies in their lives! :)

  • I am so happy for your huz getting into the unit!  I have a few friends that are in there and just made it too!  very exciting!

My huz just got into the unit he has been working to get into forever too.  He had lowest badge (which you understand what that means) and yet made it #5 on the list so he goes in Sept.  I am so proud of him!  While our huz's are on different tracks I think both of them getting exactly what they wanted is AWESOME!

Only down for us is that he has to spend the next 2 months doing some pretty difficult training on defensive tactics and it will mess with our schedule.  But my mom is awesome and is picking up the slack for us.  *WHEW*

Ah, awesome! It's hard not to be just a little jealous of his success since I've had such a rough time in my career. He didn't even graduate from high school actually. He was too busy taking apart computers to go to class!
