Dog people...especially Pits
McDonalds aired a commercial today for their new mcnuggets saying "our mcnuggets are safer than petting a pit bull"
They've pulled the commercial and issued this statement ""In our effort to spread the word about our new Chicken McBites, one of our local markets ran an ad that inadvertently offended some of our customers. The ad was insensitive in its mention of pit bulls. We apologize. We are pulling the ad, and will review our creative screening process. It?s never our intent to offend anyone with how we communicate news about McDonald?s."
Re: Dog people...especially Pits
I agree that it doesn't even make sense.
I wonder how many people in their marketing department will get canned over this. My BFF is going to be PISSED at me. This is the 2nd negative thing I've posted about Mcdonald's on FB this week. She's pretty high level in the company.
I just hope that this gives dog people that actually eat at McDonalds reason enough to not eat that stuff.
Sadly, I agree with Tara. People will never give up their Mickey D's.
And for the record, I'm a cat person, but I've never met a Pit Bull that I didn't like.
I just don't understand comparing food to a pet. Huh?? It's like those awful Quizno's commercials....why would you use petrified animals, talking animals ANY ANIMALS to market your sandwich???I just don't understand that. At All. When I'm being sold food I don't want any type of animal image with it. Thanks.
Personally, the ad should have said, "Our nuggets are safer than Michael Vick." But whatevs.
I'm interested in knowing the stats on people attacked by small dogs like a Maltese or chihuahua, but don't report it because (a) it's not a life-threatening injury or (b) they're embarrassed to admit that they were bitten by something the size of a loaf of bread.
I could have sworn that was what it said but I thought I heard wrong because honestly I was on a conference call and chasing my 9 week old Pit through the house while trying to calmly get my coach sneakers out of his mouth. LOL!
I accomplished this by holding his mouth open with one hand and shoving the other hand into his mouth-dog, coach, and hand were all unharmed......although when I ate a cheesburger from there 3 months ago I was sick for days. I would vote pits 1 mcdonalds 0
I swear the employees are so brain washed. She gets so pissy with me that my kid has never had a happy meal.
She's worked there since she's 14 and is now 40. crazy.
she posts pics on FB when they have parent lunches at school & that's what she always brings them.
LOVE THIS!!!! And agree.
Me too. Call me a food nazi- I don't care. I've been called worse.
I agree
