Have we talked about the Hunger Games movie yet? (no spoilers)

I'm just really super excited for it! I can't wait! I don't think I've ever been this excited for a movie before. I loooove the books, and the movie looks like it'll be really good. I kinda want to re-read the books before the movie, but I think when I do that, I don't enjoy the movie as much because all the great details of the book are fresh in my mind. So maybe I'll go and be thrilled by the movie and love it, and re-read after.

Anybody else excited? Are you planning to see the midnight premiere? Have you read the books? Please, someone else be stupid excited with me lol!

Re: Have we talked about the Hunger Games movie yet? (no spoilers)

  • I love the series too! I really want to reread them. I asked for the books for Christmas, but no one got them for me so I'll just buy them for myself.

I just looked up the release date of the movie and we're going to be on vacation when the movie comes out. I guess I'll be waiting until the next weekend to see it! The only movie I've ever gone to a midnight premiere of are the Harry Potter films. I think I went to 2 or 3 of the midnight showings. It was really fun to be part of that atmosphere!

  • I haven't read the books and I won't until after the movies are done for the same reason you mentioned. I won't enjoy the movies because I'll compare them too much. I am excited, though. I saw the trailer awhile back and it got me interested. Plus, secretly I'm a total fantasy nerd and I'll need a new series to watch since Harry Potter is over and Twilight will be ending shortly.
  • I just read the first book and am starting the second today. I won't see the movie opening weekend because I hate crowds, but I will definitely make an effort to get to the theater to see it :-)

  • I'll definitely be at the midnight premier.  As soon as I found out the date I informed DH that I would be at the theater for this.  I can't wait!!!!

  • I swear I left a comment about this and it disappeared. But yes, I'm excited too! I'll avoid the crowds too, but dh definitely knows we'll be seeing it. I watched Winter's Bone a while back and Jennifer Lawrence was impressive.
